Dream Dates (For Punkenstain)

As requested by Dr. Punkenstain (sorry it took so long, dude!):

Unfortunately, I don't know much about The Dream Dates. They had a Geocities site up, but it's unfinished. There's no bio.

But evidently they came from Hamilton, because there seems to be some crossover with Teenage Head. I could be mistaken on this, though.

The Dream Dates released this four-song EP in 1979. And a winner it is; makes you wish they would have expanded on their musical output during this time.

Some members are still around: there's some jamming with the New Ugly.

The Agony Shorthand Post-Punk Mix

Agony Shorthand was music-based blog, which ran from February 2003 through September 2006. During this time, blogger Jay Hinman created a list of songs he liked. However, he didn't actually upload a compilation, nor did he create a cover. However, some unknown madster in the big, bad world of the internet did upload said compilation to Soulseek...but alas, no cover (sniff).

So that was left to me. Below is said compilation, just click on the (rather crudely-made) album cover below, which I designed as an homage to Agony Shorthand's banner logo.

Though, Agony Shorthand may be gone, Jay is back online with Detailed Twang. Please check it out.

Sorry For Being Incommunicado

I know some of you have been posting comments alongside various posts, and I really appreciate that. But I want just wanted you to know that if I haven't responded, it's not because I'm being a prick (tho' some would argue). It is, quite literally, that I haven't had the time.

So please don't mistake my silence as disdain. Whenever I do get the chance to post a new artist, I do...but it's usually also in a rush. This would also explain why I sometimes don't have as informative biographies as I'd like. Or why they're sometimes cribbed from other sources.
